Fargo Post 2 announces 46-game schedule for the 2010 schedule.

This year’s schedule will be highlighted by having our first annual alumni weekend that will be in conjunction with the FM Tourney June 25-26-27. Also on the schedule we will be hosting our Red River Classic. The Post 2 Varsity will be traveling to the 48 team Gopher Classic and the Sioux Falls Tourney as well a trip to Omaha to play games and watch the college World Series.

This year marks some changes in North Dakota Legion Baseball as Post 2 will again play in a state wide league schedule, but will have to qualify for the eight team state through the East Division Tourney July 22-24 to be played at Jack Williams Stadium. The State Tournament is in Bismarck July 28-Aug 1st and the Central Plains Regional is in Blue Springs, MO Aug 5-9. (Blue Springs, MO is entered in the 2010 Red River Classic June 17-20.

The Jets and Bombers are in the process of finalizing their 40 game schedules and will play in the 17 and under Junior Legion State Tournament to qualify for the Mid-States Regional with teams from NV, MN ND, SD KS NE and MO. This tournament will be hosted by Post 2 August 5-8 at Jack Williams Stadium. Another highlight this year will be the start up of the Post 2 baseball camps which will help Post 2 players to get the opportunity to work the camps and also around the grounds to earn money. These camps are geared for ages 8-15 years of age. The hitting camps dates and times have been set and are set up so that the participants will meet once a week for three weeks. Each participant will get hitting instruction each day and will also be videoed with instant feedback.
