Post #2 Runner-up in North Dakota (Again!)

Another season has come and gone. It seems like we were just getting started with sign-ups and tryouts and now it’s over. We had a very successful season, but finished as the runner-up in the state tournament for the third straight year. Hopefully we’ll get a step further some year soon. It’s tough to finish second, but it shouldn’t diminish what we accomplished this season. We finished 57-16 and won the Eastern Division as well as the Eastern Division Tournament. We lost our opening game at the state tournament to Williston, then won our next four games against Jamestown, Dickinson, Williston, and Bismarck, before losing to Williston in the championship game. During the regular season, we were entered in 5 tournaments and were the champions of 4 of them (Thief River, God Bless America, F-M, and Water Carnival Classic). We had several players who had outstanding years and we broke the team record for home runs in a season.
We have 11 players who are eligible to return and play next season and our Bomber team had an excellent season, so the future looks very bright. Our coaching staff should remain intact next season as all coaches have expressed their intention to return.
